Cute and Inexpensive Homemade Christmas gift!

I just had to share this cute gift idea. First, I want to say I am not crafty at all. I don't think I've ever touched a hot glue gun in my life. But, I follow some craft blogs hoping that one day I can find one that is easy enough for me to do. Well, I found it!

BeneathMyHeart has the cutest gift idea- Homemade tile coasters! They are VERY inexpensive to nake. She has how to make them over at her blog but here are some ways to make it cheaper in case you don't have these things at home.

*4x4 white tiles at Lowes-these are only 16cents a piece!!!

*Any type of scrapbook paper, napkins, etc... that you have on hand- free

*Mod Podge- $4.54 @ Hobby Lobby but use 40% off coupon that is online

*Felt (she used corkboard but felt is cheaper)-$0.25 @Hobby Lobby

*Acyrilic sealer- $3.88 @ Hobby Lobby and have your DH use another 40% coupon from online ;)

*Glue gun- $1.99 or most people have these already

*Sponge brush-$0.50

Okay, since I can't do steps very well head on over to BeneathMyHeart to check it out! So easy! Seriously, If I can do this so can you!

Don't you love mine above! I used scrapbook paper in blue and brown to match my living room!

  1. I am making 3 sets of these for people for christmas, only, instead of scrapbook paper or napkins, I am using pictures printed onto tissue paper. All in all it cost me $10.50 for 3 sets...not too bad and they look like they cost alot more than that.

  3. If you print them onto tissue paper, tape the tissue paper as tight as you can onto a piece of card stock before running it through the printer.
