I know a few of you guys came over from my link on Kelly's Korner 'Show Us Your Money Saving Tips'. Here are my best money saving tips and more popular posts.

1. Never pay for Christmas gifts. That's right. This year I don't plan on paying a dime out of pocket for Christmas gifts. How do I do this? Well, I use Swagbucks. Swagbucks is free to join and you use it as a search engine. You get points for random searches. Those points add up and you can redeem them for gift card/prizes. I always get the $5 Amazon gift cards. I have already saved up over $300 in Amazon gift cards in the past 7 1/2 months! By Christmas time I should have enough money in gift cards to buy everyone on my list a Christmas present from Amazon!

2. CLIP COUPONS! Yes, they really save you money. My favorite printable coupon sites are http://www.coupons.com/ and http://www.redplum.com/ . For example, there is a coupon for $0.75 off One Box of Wheaties Full. The smaller boxes are $1.00 at Wal-mart so only $0.25 for a box of cereal!

3.Do survey sites for extra money. My favorite is Opinion Outpost. Opinion Outpost surveys takes no time at all to do. You can read all about Opinion Outpost HERE

4. Decorating on a Dollar Tree Budget. I just started doing this but hope to make it a weekly showing. You can see my first example HERE!

5. I also do a weekly(okay, I am bad about this one-lol) sometimes monthly Meal- Deal Mondays. These are recipes that cost less than $5 for a family of 4. Check them all out HERE!

6. And one of my favorites is Homemade Coasters. These are seriously Amazing and so Inexpensive. Read about mine HERE!

All Wal-Marts are getting rid of their fabrics( okay, I don't know why....) But anyways mine had ALL the fabric for only $1. Not a $1 a yard but $1 for each roll! This included the big fleece fabric and more expensive types! Hurry and see if yours has started clearancing it. Mine was actually ALL out. Boohoo, but I will be hitting up the Wal-Mart in the next town!

Okay, so I have no picture again. I probably should have taken one with my camera when I got home. I promise my next post will have a picture!

My Wal-Mart had the cilantro on sale for $0.10 a bundle! I love cilantro. It adds something special to each Mexican dish I make. My favorite dish to make with cilantro is salsa verde! It's my husbands favorite too!

My Clarksville Wal-mart has their blocks of cream cheese for only $0.50. These are normally $1.37 each so a big sale! They don't expire until September and so I bought way too many!!! Here is one of my favorite recipes that have cream cheese in it.(and we will be having something with cream cheese each night until September-lol)

Tortilla Roll-ups- I omit the green onion and add green chilis!

Pottery Barn taste with a Dollar Tree budget!

Okay, so I LOVE Pottery Barn but I can't afford their prices so I decided to scope out the dollar tree and make my own Pottery Barn decorations. I love this Mini Moss Vase Filler pictured above. It looks so much like Spring and would go perfect in my living room. But it's $10 just for the filler and it doesn't even include the vase! WOW! The vase they used for this is $30 so total price at Pottery Barn would be $40!!!

So, what I did is found these 5 items at Dollar Tree. The bowl, candle stick, moss and bird were $4 each and the robin eggs were on sale for $0.25. So $4.25 total.

You put the bowl on top of the candle stick and with a glue gun, glue it on. Add the spanish moss, then a few of the robin eggs, and lastly put the bird on top. My grand total was only $4.25. That's a savings of $35.75!!! Plus, I kind of like my better anyways ;)

I plan on showing more ways to save money on decorating on this blog so stay tuned!

I stayed last night in Branson at the Red Roof Inn for only a penny!! I didn't post this deal earlier because I'm always unsure that these deals actual work. Well, it did!

Until April 15th, Red Roof is currently offering a few rooms ,at participating Red Roofs, for only a PENNY!! You must get on their website at 11:00 central time to book the rooms.

Trust me these go fast. The one in Branson had 3 rooms and they were sold out in less than 30 seconds. Luckily, I had fast fingers!

I have mentioned this survey site once before but wanted to mention it again. I know alot of people are saving up for summer vacations and this is one of the ways we are doing it.

Opinion Outpost you do surveys for points. Those points equal up to money! So if the survey was was 20 points then you would receive $2.00! It's that easy! Most surveys are at least 20 points and take no time at all to complete. I did a survey a few days ago for 65 points and it took about 25 minutes. Some are longer and some are shorter. It will give you an estimate of how much time before you even start the survey!

I just received a check for $50 last week from them! This is gas money for our beach trip! Best of all it took no time at all. I just spend about 1-2 hours a week doing surveys after the kids go to bed.
