Meal Deal Monday-Garlic Butter Shrimp with Rice

Today's Meal Deal Monday is Garlic Butter Shrimp with Rice. My total for a family of 4 is $4.73!!!!

Ingredients-
3/4 pound uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined, $3.80. Wal-Mart has the frozen shrimp $5 lb.
2 cloves of garlic, $0.44.
1/4 cup butter, $0.22. (Great value)
3 tablespoons of lemon juice, $0.20. Lemons are around $0.68 at Wal-mart.
Rice, $0.07. Wal-Mart has the Riceland rice for $0.86. Use the $0.50 coupon from a few weeks ago(insert) to get it for $0.36. You can use more or less rice. I guess it depends how much you want with your shrimp. I used about 1/5 of the bag..

Directions-
1.Cook rice according to package.
2.In a large skillet, saute the shrimp and garlic in butter for 5 minutes or until shrimp turn pink. Add lemon juice; heat through. Serve with rice!

Meal Deal Monday-CrockPot Shepards Pie

If you are not familiar with my Meal Deal Monday here is the jest of it. I plan a meal that will be less than $5 for a family of 4. That's pretty much it :) To check out my other meal deals click HERE. Today I am making CrockPot Shepards Pie- I am borrowing this recipe from CrockPot365- Seriously, go check her blog out. She has like a million followers and has her own books. She is amazing. I'm addicted to it!

So for this meal it cost me a total of $4.21!!!!

Ingredients-

3 cups leftover mashed potatoes- $0.50 for a large baking potato at Wal-Mart
1 lb ground turkey or beef-$1.00. Wal-Mart has the ground beef that looks like it is in sausage packaging for only $1.00. This is usually found in the middle frozen aisle.
2 cloves garlic, chopped-$.28. I used the $1 off McCormick coupon insert(expires 11/22) on the minced garlic.
2 cups frozen vegetables-$0.75. Wal-mart has the Birds eye veggies for $1.25. Used the $0.50 off coupon insert.
1 medium onion, chopped finely-$0.10. Usually I go to wal-mart but I found out that our mexican grocery stores around here are cheaper on onions so be sure to check out those places!
2 cups shredded cheese-$1.58. There is not a coupon currently available but sometimes you can find Kraft coupons so I just bought the Great value brand.
1/2 tsp seasoned salt.
1/2 tsp onion powder.
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp paprika
1 cup water

Directions
Brown meat, onions, and garlic. Drain the fat and add with other spices. Spray the inside of your crockpot with cooking spray.
Put the meat in the crockpot and stir in the frozen vegetables, and a cup of water. Add two cups of cheese on top. Press the mashed potatoes down on top of the cheese and meat. Sprinkle with a bit of paprika.Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for about 3, then remove the lid and cook on high for 30 minutes to release the condensation and allow the potatoes to brown a bit on top.
And then eat!!!!
Don't forget to check out Crockpot365 for other yummy recipes. She has a lobster bisque that I can't wait to try. I don't think it'll make it on Meal Deal Monday though!!!

Meal Deal Monday-Turkey Spaghetti

So today's Monday Meal Deal is Turkey Spaghetti. My total for a family of 4 to eat this meal is $3.31!!!! This is one of my favorite meals to fix when I don't know what to fix. All of these ingredients are staples in my house so no need to run to the store! Plus, if you have unexpected guest this is so good and quick!

Ingredients-

8 ounces of spaghetti, $1.00. Great value brand

3 cups shredded turkey, $0.80. Wal-mart has their Riverside turkeys for $0.40lb!!! This is an awesome deal!

1/2 Chopped onion, $0.25.

1 can cream of mushroom soup, $0.08. Wal-Mart has their cans on rollback for $0.58. Use THIS printable for $1/2.

1/4 cup chicken broth, $0.07. Wal-mart is c.hanging the Swanson chicken broth cans out. They are clearanced for $0.40 a can. Use $0.40/3 insert for $0.27 each!!!

2 cups mild cheddar cheese, $1.11. Wal-Mart has Kraft 2 cup bags for $1.61. Use THIS printable for $1/2

Directions
1.Put uncooked spaghetti in a large pot of salted boiling water. Let simmer, stirring occasionally, for 8 to 10 minutes or until pasta is al dente. Drain.
2.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
In a large bowl combine the chicken, cooked spaghetti, onion, soup, broth and 1 cup of the cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix all together. Spread mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Sprinkle remaining cup of cheese on top and bake for another 15 minutes.

I went to Dillard's yesterday and am soooo glad I did! They had most of their clearance items for only $3.99!!! The had a ton of little boy and girls clothes, shoes, men's shirts, women's shirts and dresses, and even lots of purses for $3.99!

The original prices of some of these items were anywhere from $19.99 to $115!!!

I got a Daniel Cremieuz shirt, normally $40.00, for $3.99. A long summer dress, usually $59.99, for $3.99. A pair of Ralph Lauren shorts, normally $45.00, for $3.99.

First, I have to thank my husband who was very excited that he found this bargain for me. I think I am starting to rub off on him ;)

Nov. 7th, Wal-Mart's are having a big electronic sale in store. They have sony blu-ray player for only $148, Dvd player for only $29, and much more. The thing my husabnd is excited about is the X-BOX 360. It is on sale for $199 with a $100 wal-mart gift card!!!! So it's like you are getting it for only $99.

Lots of the XBOX 360 games are reasonable. I know I see some at my wal-mart for less than $10 on occasion. It would make for a great Christmas present!!!
